G. C. Ball Wins Fulbright Study Grant
A Fulbright grant to study painting at the Institute D'Art et D' Archeologue in Paris has been awarded to George Cross Ball of Oakland.
Ball, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Ball of 1007 Sunnyhills Road, is graduate of Piedmont High School and has received a master's degree at Stanford.
The 27-year-old Oaklander has won numerous art awards, including the Phelan award and prize at the American Academy in Rome. He also has displayed his work throughout the Bay Area,
His grant was announced by Sen. William F. Knowland.
